"I promise you everyday your children will learn something.
Some days they will bring it home in their hands. Some days
they will bring it home in their heads. And some days they will
bring it home in their hearts."

Welcome to my webpage! I hope you are looking forward to a wonderful  school year; I know I am! :)  I will do my best to keep this page updated, so check back often! We try to take a lot of pictures throughout the year, and I will post them here on this site as a slideshow.  Also be sure to check out the FOALS webpage; Mrs. Gehrt, Mrs. Jensen, and I will have our weekly newsletters and monthly calendars posted there, as well as anything all Kindergarten parents need to access.

A little about myself....This is my third year teaching here at St. George and my third year teaching overall. I graduated from KU (Go Jayhawks!) and am finally getting used to all the purple around here! I got married a year ago, so those of you who know me as Miss Shrimplin--it's still me just a new name. My husband, David, is a teacher too. He teaches Debate, Forensics, and Speech at Seaman High School in Topeka. We just moved this summer, so that we would both have a short commute.

Listed below under Related Sites, I have put a few websites you may want to visit with your student. We will be using some of them in the classroom later in the year, and others are better geared towards parent-child time together.

Supply List Here are the supplies that are needed for this year.

Parent Packet This will be coming home with your child within the first few days of school. In this, I try to explain our Kindergarten day and what to expect. Please also refer to this for questions regarding field trips, school policies, etc.
