Come to Playgroup
We Have So Much Fun!

There are lots of reasons to come to playgroup. Kids learn through play. Research tells us that children naturally seek out sensory experiences that cause their brain cells to make connections. Children also need to repeat activities that encourage these connections to organize and become more efficient. Those connections strengthen with repetition. That said....Play is FUN! The best reason to come to playgroup is everyone has fun! Parents enjoy the time to connect with other parents, children get to watch and learn from other children and explore different toys in different ways.
We have our regular playgroups on Friday mornings from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Westmoreland PAT playroom. It is located on 4th and State Street in the mobile unit in front of Westmoreland Elementary school. Enter the building through the south doors (the one with the ramp). We occasionally have other special playgroups at the park, they gym or the playground and sometimes we have them on other days/evenings. Please email Dena at schmitzd@rockcreekschools.org if an evening or weekend time would be a time you could come to playgroup. Thanks.
To keep our playgroup population healthy, we do ask that your child be current on his/her immunizations and free from illness (fever, diarrhea, upset stomach,rash, etc.) for at least 24 hours prior to playgroup.
