State Leadership Conference

Rock Creek Business Professionals of America attended the State Leadership Conference in Wichita, February 14-16. Seven of the members attended the conference. Each member was required to compete in two events and selected an additional "open" event after they arrived. Registered events were:
Travis Altenhofen: Banking and Finance, Spreadsheet Applications and Analysis
Brittany Chasser: Human Resource Management, Prepared Speech
Chyann Ebert: Administrative Support Team, Graphic Design Promotion
Tim Herrs: Administrative Support Team, Graphic Design Promotion
Megan Jilka: Advanced Word Processing Skills, Administrative Support Team
Greg Pushee: C++ Programming, Small Business Management Team
Tony Wilborn: Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management Team
Rock Creek's team competed against other chapters throughout Kansas. Top performers in each event qualified to attend the National Leadership Conference which is in Reno, Nevada in May.
Results of this year's State Leadership Conference:
- Travis Altenhofen placed 2nd in Spreadsheet Applications & Analysis
- Greg Pushee placed 4th in C++ Programming.
- Brittany Chasser was 6th in Prepared Speech.
Travis Altenhofen is the only one who qualified for the National Leadership Conference. The others are alternates.
