What a creative morning Parents as Teachers (PAT) children had
when a group met at Rinda's Ceramics in Wamego to paint their own
spring plate! The room was crowded, but parents and children
didn't seem to mind as each concentrated on dabbing on lots of
color with their paintbrushes, sponges, fingers or even their feet!
The activity encouraged open-ended projects that allowed the
children to express themselves with color, texture and patterns. In
the end, beautiful plates with all sorts of swirly patterns and
colors emerged. Beautiful and cherished keepsakes for parents
and grandparents.
