Honors English 11 and English 11
These classes are American Literature based. Additional reading, projects and writing assignments relating to the literature studied are required. The students will also complete the research paper intended to meet the guidelines of the district's Senior Project requirement. These courses also focus on the grammar and vocabulary of the ACT (American College Testing) program and the Kansas State Assessment.
The Juniors are learning about Literature Time Periods by each teaching a different time period. Teach-A-Day
THE CRUCIBLE by Arthur Miller
Juniors will soon be reading The Crucible, by Arthur Miller. This award-winning play examines the happenings of 1693 Salem, Massachusetts, when several innocent people were accused of witchcraft.
