Constitution

Approved November 14, 2005 

I        NAME:

The name of the club shall be the Rock Creek Jr./Sr. High Booster Club.

II       Purpose:

The purpose of the club shall be to promote activities of all the students of Rock Creek Jr./Sr. High School.

III      Members:

Parents, Faculty, Staff, Alumni and Friends of Rock Creek Jr./Sr. High School.

IV      Funding:

A membership fee will be collected each fall semester. Fee to be determined by the majority of members present at August meeting.

V        Board Members:

                   The club shall have at least five board members.

VI      Booster Meetings:

A.      Shall meet monthly or as deemed necessary by the members of the organization.

B.       A majority of Booster members present at meeting shall constitute a quorum.

VIII    Duties of Board Members:

Ex-officio: out-going President. Advices current officers when questions arise

                   President:

Plan and conduct meetings. Coordinate the activities and events of the club.  Submit an annual report to the incoming new board at the end of his/her term in office describing the year’s activities, unfinished business and projects, and recommendations for the future.

Vice-president:

In the President’s absence, plan and conduct club meetings. Assume the presidency should the President leave office. In charge of Booster club committee’s.

Secretary:

Maintain a current membership roster and conduct elections of next school years board members. Record minutes of the meetings.  Send out a quarterly newsletter (Booster activities) to all the Rock Creek families.

Treasurer:

Collect membership dues. Maintain an accurate and current record of the club’s finances. Pay the bills incurred by the club. Submit an annual financial report at the end of each school year.

School Spirit wear Chair/s and committee:

Select and distribute order forms and options for School Spirit Wear. Collect orders and distribute orders.

Special Events Chair/s and committee:

Schedule special events for the students. Booster club dinners, fundraisers, etc.

Scholarship/Banquet Chair/s and committee:

Collect scholarship applications and bring forth application to Booster club general meeting for voting and distribute at least 2 or more scholarships each spring semester. Plan and execute activities and athletic banquets.

Booster Club Ads/Programs Chair and committee:

Collect and sell Booster club ads and design and build a RC general program for the Rock Creeks school Events.

IX       Booster Club Records:

                   Records and files will be on file at Rock Creek Jr./Sr. High School.
                   Current records will be on the Booster Club web site.

X        Amendments:

To amend or change the Constitution, the club shall submit proposed amendments in writing to members of the board. The membership shall approve the proposals by a simple majority of voting members present.

XI       Quorum:

A quorum is a majority of members present at each Booster club meeting.

XII     Election:

Election of new officers will be done at the April meeting each spring. Transfer of office will be conducted after elections.
