Mustang Baseball AND Softball Headed to State!

Both the Rock Creek Baseball AND Softball Teams are headed to Manhattan, KS for the Class 3A State Championships!
Rock Creek Baseball will open up on May 25th at 6:30pm vs. Salina Sacred Heart at KSU's Tointon Family Stadium, Manhattan.
The Mustang Softball team will compete Friday evening also, but at Twin Oaks/Annenburg Park.
Rock Creek Baseball achieved the 3 seed going into the State tournament after beating Bennington and Riley County on Tuesday evening in regional play at Westmoreland. They are 21-2 on the year and won the Mid-East League and Regional Championships!
Mustangs Softball won the Beloit Regional, defeating Marysville (who made an appearance in the 2012 State tournament) by a score of 4-3. They are 17-6 on the season and enter the tournament as a 6 seed (there was a 3-way tie for 4th and we ended up the 6 seed). Rock Creek girls will play Goodland who enters the tournament as the 3 seed (there was a 3-way tie for 1st also) with a record of 20-3. The opening rounds of the tournament begin at 5:00 p.m. with our game against Goodland at 7:00. The Mustangs most recent trip to State was a second place finish in 2009 when the senior group now were freshmen. Great way for those girls to bookend their careers!
