News of the Day:

Rock Creek students…we are looking at making history with the Rock Creek Wrestling program.    We need men and women who are willing to make themselves better physically, mentally, and work as part of a team to do things Rock Creek Wrestling has never done before.  Wrestling is for every BODY!  Whether big, small, new to wrestling or wrestling since you were a kid, or in any grade, we have big aspirations and want you to be part of it.  Come meet the coaches (Coach B., Coach O., Coach Braun) and see what it will be all about during afternoon advisor Wednesday November 3rd

Students taking AP Calculus, AP Biology, and AP Lang: please don’t forget that your order form and money for your AP tests are due back to Mrs. Minihan by next Monday, November 1st.

The RC Bee Company is selling a few apparel items and hats to promote the bee project. If interested, locate a flyer that is around the school and scan the QR code to place an order.  Items must be ordered by Thursday, October 28.

This year the Writing Center has moved from the Media Center to Room 107 in the mornings from 7:15am to 8:15am.

The Writing center supports students in all of their classes. In the writing center, students can work through a writer’s block, research citations styles, improve writing clarity, practice a speech or presentation, polish a personal statement, work on a scholarship, brainstorm paper topic ideas, organize a research poster all with a peer tutor that is assigned to them.

If students want to sign up for a 15 minute sessions before school, they may do so by scanning the QR codes for the writing center found in their classrooms and hallways. Or they may sign up on the link found on the district website.

Remember to order your yearbook with Mrs. Schmidt in room 112 by October 27th for the price of $45.00. After October 27th the prices will go up, so order early!

Senior Pictures

Seniors photos should be e-mailed to Mrs. Schmidt by November 29th.  If you have questions about the format, please see Mrs. Schmidt or ask in the office.

Senior Ads for Yearbook

Senior ads are available in the yearbook.  Deadline for sales is November 29th.  See Mrs. Schmidt or the office with any questions.

As the weather cools, here’s a gentle reminder to leave blankets at home.

Only pure water in clear plastic containers is allowed outside of the cafeteria area before, during, and after school hours.  Food and snacks should be limited to the cafeteria.  Exceptions will exist, during evening school events and select school events. Energy drinks/products are NOT to be distributed or consumed on the RC Campus.

Need a place to study MATH? Come on down to Room 143, whether you just need a place to work or a little help! If you can’t make it before school or during Advisor, Mrs. Sotkovski is also staying afterschool from 3:30-5:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Per USD 323 COVID-19 protocol, if a family member you live with is having COVID-19 symptoms and they are being tested, you are to stay at home until the results are back.  This is to help prevent the spread and the need to possibly quarantine classmates.  Bottom line:  stay home if someone at home is being tested and let the school know!
