A Brief Summary about Reading Recovery:
Reading Recovery is an early intervention that lasts approximately 12-20 weeks. During Reading Recovery, I work with four first grade students who have not been progressing as quickly as other students in the classroom.
The goal of Reading Recovery is to accelerate learning through an individualized, 1-1 teaching environment. By the end of the intervention, the goal is for students to be reading at the same level as their average classroom peer.

Summer is here!!
It is still important to review skills at home so that your child can begin the year with confidence. Make sure your child is reading each evening, and listening to you read as well.
Enjoy the summer months with your child. It will go so fast!
I look forward to seeing you in the fall!
